BIOGRAPHY

Born in Montreal (Quebec), David Piché start learning the violin at age 8th at l'école Des Cèdres, a school in Laval that offers a full musical program. He continue his high school education at Poly-Jeunesse and Cure-Antoine-Labelle. Piche's is received the Lorraine Vaillancourt awarded at the end of the program. A prize of high distinction among his the collegue from the string department.

After that , nothing could of stopped it to achieved his dream to become a professional musician. He goes to Marie Victorin to continue his musical journey with Claude Deltell. Three years later, he get admitted to the bachelor degree program of music performance at the Schulich music school of music of Mcgill University in the class of Thomas Williams. In his second year program, he continued his bachelor with Denise Lupien.

Bachelor,  He goes to Montreal University for his master degree in the class of professor Laurence Kayaleh.

 

In 2011, David become the violinist of the show Odysseo, the new creation of the equestrian company Cavalia. Music composed by the composer and guitarist Michel Cusson. Piché's tour in north america with the show ( Canada, USA, Mexico). He performed over 450 shows of the show. 

 

In 2013, he become the violinist of the touring show Varekai by Cirque du Soleil. He have the joy to be more on stage on this production. David played the violin and the electric violin on the show for 1200 shows. ( touring Canada, USA, UK, Europe)

Sadly, the shows made its final bow on december 23rd 2017.

David is now back in Montreal, Quebec after 6 years on the road! A return full of new discoveries, projects and music!
